Seoul, South Korea: A Photo Diary

Three weeks have passed since we got back from our trip to Seoul, South Korea. Ngayon lang ako nagka-time na magupdate ng blog. Haha! Seoul is a beautiful city, with lots of places to visit, lots of food to eat, and lots of people to meet. We were also able to visit other cities in South Korea, too. It was definitely a trip worth remembering. Let me share some photos I took during our 5 day vacation. (Photos taken with my iPhone 6 and with my cousin's camera)

DAY 1: Touchdown, South Korea!

Incheon International Airport

Their airport is sooooo huge!!! It has rail transport inside bringing passengers to different parts of the airport, just like the ones they have in Hong Kong International Airport. Ansabe ng NAIA?!

Annyeong haseyo! Nice one, IIA!

Oh hello there, Mr. Korean! :) #photobomber

All smiles! :)

Doo Guesthouse

Our home away from home! We stayed here for 3 days. The hanok is very cozy with uber hot ondol! LOL. It is also near everything! Glad we stayed here! I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Hanok, a Korean traditional house

Bukchon Hanok Village

This quaint little village is just a few minutes away from our guesthouse. :D

Annyeong haseyo!

Gyeongbok Palace

Ang daming Korean tourists!

Do the ANTM sakit ulo pose!

Aaaaaah!!!! Cherry blossoms!!!!!

My aunt told me a Koreanovela shot one of its scenes here. Pose naman ako.

Kimchi pots!

Insadong

One of the best places to buy pasalubong! This place also houses a lot of coffee and tea shops.

The famous Insadong landmark

Cute coffee shop :3

Korean dumplings!

Yey for pasalubong!

DAY 2: Nami Island / Petite France Day Tour

It was 8 degrees during this time. It was so cold! We booked our Nami Island/Petite France tour before traveling. It is better to book the tour in advance so that we will not worry about finding tour companies once we get to Seoul.

#OOTD: sweatshirt cardigan (H&M), striped sweatshirt (Uniqlo), infinity scarf (I.M Presa),
jeans (Old Navy), boots (Palladium) #FeelingBlogger LOL
Off to Nami Island with the fambam!

Naminara Republic

Your trip to South Korea wouldn't be complete if you haven't visited this place! Nami Island is very famous because of Winter Sonata.

Super cold and super windy! #windburn

WE ARE NAMINARIANS! :)

Hey you guise :3

If I'm not mistaken, this is the place where the main characters from
Winter Sonata first kissed.

I don't get.

Sexy back. LOL

Petite France

After our Nami Island Tour, we ate lunch then went to this cute little French village. Little Prince lovers, rejoice! This is the place to be! A lot of Korean shows were shot in this French themed place. Nothing much to see and do here, though.

Bienvenue to Petite France!

Bonjour, Le Petit Prince!

Cute colored houses :3

DAY 3: Namsan Guesthouse 4, Myeongdong, N Seoul Tower, Namdaemun

I love the location of the next guesthouse that we stayed because it is in Myeongdong! The very famous shopping district in Seoul.

Myeongdong!!! Shopping!!!

Shoes!!! My weakness!

N Seoul Tower

In order for you to reach the place where the tower stands, you need to hike a very steep slope. It was so tiring, I swear! I was catching my breath when I reached the top.

Nice to see you, N Seoul Tower!
It's not everyday you get to see a famous Filipino person in a foreign country. Photo op!
Nice to meet you Sir Sonny Belmonte!

Arn was here | 4-3-15 :))

Love you guys :3

Namdaemun

It's like Korea's version of Divisoria. Haha! I was able to buy some adorable keychains here.

DAY 4: DMZ Half Day Tour, Hongdae, Myeongdong Cathedral

Definitely the highlight of our trip. I got to see North Korea which was spine-tingling. I will also never forget our walk down the third infiltration tunnel. It's a long way down and boy it was tiring!

Imjingak Park
Dora Observatory

We in DMZ!
The entrance to the Third Infiltration Tunnel
Off to Pyeongyang! LOL

Hongdae

After our half day tour, we asked our tour guide to drop us off in Hongdae. Yey! I get to eat in a Korean buffet restaurant! First time! I was so happy!

HAPPINESS!

Busy Hongdae

So sad we had to leave our transparent umbrellas at the guesthouse :(

Myeongdong Cathedral

DEAD TIRED.

Manila bound :(

'Til we meet again, South Korea! :)
