Three weeks have passed since we got back from our trip to Seoul, South Korea. Ngayon lang ako nagka-time na magupdate ng blog. Haha! Seoul is a beautiful city, with lots of places to visit, lots of food to eat, and lots of people to meet. We were also able to visit other cities in South Korea, too. It was definitely a trip worth remembering. Let me share some photos I took during our 5 day vacation. (Photos taken with my iPhone 6 and with my cousin's camera)

It's been years since I last posted an entry in this blog. I have the time, I am just too lazy to write. Haha! I am not a good writer. I always say this in all the essays and stories I write. I started this blog 3 years ago to enhance my writing skills. I hate myself because I'm just too darn lazy to wrote! So now, I promise that I will keep on writing/blogging. Haha! There's a lot of fun and exciting things coming my way this year, and I would love to share and write something about them. I'll K.I.T.

Pamper day! The Nail Corner Experience
It's Monday and it's pamper day!
It's been soooo long since I last had a pedicure and manicure. My nails are so long it looks like I'm a son of a mangkukulam. That's what parents say to their kids who has long nails; "Para ka ng anak ng mangkukulam." I remember my mom always telling me this.
My first plan is to go to Let's Face It salon but it's full so I decided to roam around SM Marilao to look for salons which cater manis and pedis.
Then I saw this cute and cozy "nail" salon. Mind the "nail". This is what exactly I'm looking for!! A salon for nails! I stepped right in and looked at their services. I was shocked that it only costs 500 bucks for a manicure, pedicure and hold it.. foot spa! Cheap right? The package is called "Pamper me". They also offer a lot of services and package combinations.
The interior of the salon is very chic. There are portraits of Audrey Hepburn and Manilyn Monroe on the wall and there's a red glass chandelier. The whole room is red and white themed. The pillows and couches are color red and white. Here's a photo taken from my Instagram.

My manicurist for the day was Joy. She's nice and makwento. I love makwento people. I love people who are just like me, very sociable and talkative. Ha ha! First, she did my nails then my feet. She massaged them and applied lotions and scrubs. It felt really good, I was on the verge of dozing off.
After 2 hours, it's finally over. My feet and hands are so soft, smooth and smells good. All of these for only 500 bucks?! Not too shabby! In the Metro, this kind of pampering is pricier and will cost you a thousand plus. I'm glad that we have something like this in Bulacan.
Now, I can walk with confidence without hiding my creepy toenails and fingernails. Ha ha!
Awesome!
The Nail Corner is located at SM City Marilao, 2nd floor in front of SM Global Pinoy Center.

Hiatus
It's been exactly two months ago today since I last posted a blog entry and it kills me!!! I made this blog to enhance and practice my so called writing skills. I'm on the internet every day and I was too lazy to update this. Argh, why brain?! Bummer.
I'm really not into writing that much, I know I'm not perfect grammatically but I know I can write. I envy people who are good in it and made tons of money from it.
Anyway, I know sooner or later I'll be really good at this and who knows? I might end up being a famous blogger/writer. For the meantime, I'll just keep on blogging and "just keep swimming" ;)

Awesome @ 23!
Wow! Time flies so fast!
Turned 23 last August 18 and I couldn't be more happier!
August 18 came and I was flooded with birthday greetings on my Facebook, Twitter, BBM and text messages from awesome people. This is the time of the year when my timeline is bombarded with greetings and the time of the year I really feel I'm loved. So from the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank everyone who greeted me. It really means a lot.
In detail of my special day, here's what happened.
Lunch time came and I was surprised by my family. I knew something was up when Tito's front door is closed, normally, it is wide open for the whole neighborhood to see. I was right. Posted on the door is a "Happy Birthday Aldrin" poster written on a cartolina. When I opened the door, they all shouted "Happy birthday!" and in that moment, my smile literally reached my ears. It was a touching moment, I was on the verge of tearing up but I held back my tears. I hugged and kissed everyone, thanking them non-stop. When I saw the dining table, it's filled with lots of food and there's cake, with a happy birthday Aldrin on it and a candle! Here's a photo of that awesome moment.

Prior to this day, my father together with my 2 half siblings, planned a dinner for all of us.
We met at Dad's, Kamayan & Saisaki, EDSA at 6 PM. It was years since I last saw my dad and my siblings so I'm very happy to see them again. I was sitting beside my sister, Monica and my dad. Dad and I rarely talked because we are not that close. There was a lot of 'isang tanong, isang sagot' moments between him and I. Talk about awkward.
My sister and I are not really that 'close' but we're good, you know what I mean? We both took AB Mass Comm but from different universities. She speaks 'our' language so it was really comfortable talking to her. Pol and I though, same case with my dad, but we talked more.

The food was great! This branch is way more better than West Ave.'s. It's bigger and the food placement is more organized.
After eating, Papa slid something in my right hand. It's cash! Cold hard cash! I was surprised because when we last saw each other he didn't gave me anything.
It's time to go home and hugs and kisses were exchanged. It's sad to bid goodbye to them because I know it will be years before I'll see them again.
I'm happy and thankful that I got to spend my birthday with my Papa and sibs, and of course my family. To top this off, here's a photo of all of us. :)

It was indeed a birthday worth remembering. I couldn't ask for more.

Giordano: Salute the Ocean
![]() |
| ( Photo from Giordano Philippines Facebook account) |
The ocean is indeed filled with diverse marine life and is one of God's awesome creations. It gives us life through its gifts and in return, we should give it life too.
Now, the ocean is at threat because of insensitive people polluting it, doing illegal fishing methods and stealing and ruining its treasures. These malpractices are not new to us, they are often featured on television documentaries which I'm sure you have seen already. It breaks my heart to see the ocean and its inhabitants being treated like that.
But thanks to Giordano's new advocacy, we can help our oceans even in a small way. For every Salute the Ocean tee sold, Giordano will donate a portion to University of the Philippines Marine Biological Society (UPMBS) to help fund the 2012 International Coastal Clean-up at Puerto Galera on September 15 and 16. Awesome huh? :)
I am a huge fan of Giordano. I love their polo shirts and tees. From their 'Cheer you up' tees to their 'Gut you up' tees, I have at least 3 each. And oh, also the 'Hug me' tees, I think I have 2.
Last night I checked their Facebook page and was happy to see a new collection of tees, which is this one and was even happier because of the cause. Now, I'm the happiest because I bought one tee from the collection and I know, in my little way, I helped our ocean.
Here's the design I bought. Super adorable! I am in love with everything cute.

I salute Giordano. I salute the ocean! :)
